The Doubletree hotel is located in the city of Orange, adjacent to the city of Anaheim. Anaheim is a city outside Los Angeles, in Southern California. It’s home to the Disneyland Resort, a massive complex of family-friendly, Disney-themed rides, restaurants, hotels and shops. The city’s also home to pro sports teams. The Honda Center is the indoor arena where the Anaheim Ducks hockey team plays, and Angel Stadium is the home field of the Los Angeles Angels baseball team.
The Colony Historic District encompasses the original boundaries of the city as set by the first German settlers. It includes Founder’s Park, site of the 1857 Mother Colony House, an old home turned museum of Anaheim’s agricultural past. Nearby is the Pearson Park Amphitheatre, hosting concerts in a Spanish colonial-style setting, and The Muzeo, a contemporary art museum and historical archive. The food scene revolves around the Farmer’s Market on Center Street Promenade and the restaurants in the Anaheim Packing House, a renovated citrus fruit warehouse dating from 1919.
